Welcome!
My name is Daniel, and I am a self taught artist who works primarily in oil, graphite and charcoal.
My work explores themes of nature, fantasy, identity and emotion through a realistic and, sometimes, surreal lens.
With my paintings, I delve into vibrant color palettes and imaginative compositions to challenge the viewer’s perception of reality. Many of my more surreal pieces introduce mysterious figures inviting viewers into realms where myth and reality blur.
My landscape paintings feature warm, vibrant colors showcasing my appreciation for the serenity of natural world, with its forested trails, rolling hills and tranquil fields.
My drawings of animals and human faces offer a more intimate glimpse into the majesty and raw power of nature and glimpses into human vulnerability. I often try to use minimal lines to capture raw emotion and the simplicity of human connection.
Through a diverse body of work, I aim to provoke thought, wonder and highlight the beauty found in the joining of the fantastical, human experience and the natural world. I hope you’ll join me along the way.
